After owning and operating her gourmet store, the
Hyannis Spice House in the Cape Cod Mall  for 18 years,
Joline Diehl went back to school and graduated from  the
New School of Arts and Design.  She has also studied
with Kate Stark Walker, a well-known watercolorist,
Janet Gilmore, Zoe Albino and Chrissie Velesig.

She has been doing portraits in pencil for many years,
and for the last several years has begun to do them in
watercolor , acrylic and oil also.  Her art work is in many
private collections in the U. S. and in Europe.  Her recent
exhibits include a one-woman show at the Guyer Barn
Gallery in Hyannis, MA  the Celebrating Senior Women
Creating at the Barnstable Senior Center, Old Selectmen's
Building,  the Cape Cod Conservatory. Her interest in
people is reflected in her work, with many drawings of
children.
